Q. Who do you call if I have an emergency?
A. We call whomever you have instructed us to call.
Q. What if I can't speak when I push the button?
A. We will call family members-we call them responders- unless you have told us otherwise.
Q. What if I push the button accidentally?
A. Just tell the operator that you are ok. The operator will be relieved to know that everything is fine.
Q. How would emergency personnel get into the house to help me?
A. We will provide you with a key box that has a secret combination that we will give to EMTs only in an emergency.
Q. What if something happens when I am in the shower?
A. Don't worry. Your emergency button is waterproof. You should wear it in the shower.
Q. Am I charged extra when I push the button?
A. No. Push the button as often as you need. There will be no extra charge.
Q. Will the operator be able to hear me if I am in another room?
A. Our sensitive microphones can usually pick up a voice in the average house-wherever you are.
Q. Does installation require any rewiring in my home?
A. No. The system operates with your existing phone.
Q. Does Medicare or insurance pay for ResponseLINK?
A. Medicare does not pay for the system. You should check with your insurer.
